June’s energy is just about here and it is a delight to let you know that it is a magnificent rich and resonant energy that we’ll all be experiencing this month.Â
If you are reading this at time of publication until 1st June, you are currently in the in-between time of the pause, the reflection, the completion, integration and honouring.Â
So let me ask you:Â
How did you experience the energy of May? Remember that it was a mostly gentle and supportive vibration that nurtured your heart energy.Â
Did you experience that? How did it show up for you through the month?Â
As you sit in the ‘in-between’ or feel into last month, what do you notice about yourself and your energy, how do you feel, what draws your thinking attention?Â
I look forward to being live with you in my global online community on Thursday 28th May at 4pm UK time, to answer your questions about the energy this month, and to further share ways you can align for deepest nourishment, vitality and joy.Â
I do a regular Qigong practice comprised of a grand opening, 12 movements and a grand closing. Between each of the movements we stop, and close the movement consciously, connecting our hands in prayer position and returning to a central standing position. We take a moment there to experience the fullness of the movement, to support integration in our energy systems, to nourish deeply. And then, from that place of balance, we open into the next movement.Â
In our fast-paced, goal-oriented world, where most of our thoughts race along linear and time-bound thinking patterns, we can be unfamiliar with the huge power and potential of closing any movement in our daily lives.
Some easy examples of these ‘in-between times’ are those conscious and reflective moments before we close our eyes to sleep, when we can explore how we have moved through our day and how we feel about it. Or the few moments of breath and gratitude upon finishing a meal, enjoying the completion of that nourishing experience before we enter the next movement of our day. Or the deep honouring of the end of a relation or the completion of a project.Â
This initiates a conscious shift from a linear relationship with your day and life (I get up and start doing, until I go to sleep where I stop doing, in order to repair enough to get up and start doing again tomorrow!) to a spiral relationship where you can perceive that each act of doing is part of a great emergence of your being. When you take time to reflect, to integrate, to consciously pause and sit in the ending of something, you are able to glean and gather the great richnesses of what has occurred, how you have engaged with whatever it is that you have just done, and how your relationship with that experience either has shaped you or is currently shaping you. It is a continual spiraling in and out from the deepest of your awarenesses to the most surface of your awarenesses, the deepest parts of your wild wisdom consciousness to the most surface parts of your daily thinking.Â
The spiralling path weaves your way forward in the world as you experience, learn, grow and emerge even more fully as yourself.Â
As someone who is interested in learning more about your energy, you are already skilled at exploring this ‘in-between’ way of being. You work with your energy to directly nurture and affect your physicality. You know that your energy anatomy is the foundation of physical health, emotional health and spiritual health, so you are already skilled at being in the in-between and are naturally connected to the concept of the spiraling path of your daily life. When you do your energy practices you work with your breath consciously, the in-breath and the out-breath, and the pause between; the great spiraling movement back into the other direction; the time of pause, of absorption and integration. Cycles and flows, beginnings and endings, endings and beginnings.Â
The energy this month, whose vibration is that of a deep, rich red colour, invites you to drop into even more relationship with the in-between space.Â
In a day, can you notice the many, many movements that create the flow of your day?Â
Perhaps your day is governed by a ‘to-do’ list, perhaps you have huge amounts of space. Either way, there will be a multiplicity of moments in your day when you are invited to notice the closing of something and the moment before the opening of the next.
Perhaps align with an intention simply to notice these moments this month, and see how that creates a different flow and balance to your day.Â
When you are able to actively notice these in-between times, you invite your nervous system to recalibrate in balance.Â
The intensity of continually doing, or even the perception of this need, can activate your sympathetic nervous system and your reactive fight, flight, freeze response, which of course draws you further and further away from the magnificence of your radiant soul energy and the way that flows through every part of your energy, body and life. Instead you hit the old and limiting patterns of belief that are locked into your habitual field, feeling tired, overwhelmed, anxious or frustrated by the sheer experience of life.Â
The energy this month supports your deep connection to the in-between, to noticing the pause between your breaths, and to allowing that connection to bring harmony and regulation to your nervous system.Â
I have created a short routine for nervous system regulation, which I am sharing with you in the video below. It's designed to support your energetic alignment to this month's energy – try it for the month and let me know how you get on with it.Â
I’ll look forward to seeing you on Thursday May 28th at 4pm in my global online community to answer your questions about the energy this month.
With great gratitude and big love to you, may your June fill you with delight.
